Your journey begins upon arrival at Kathmandu (approx. 1,400 meters above sea level), the vibrant capital of Nepal nestled within a valley surrounded by green hills. A representative from Himalayan Infinity Adventures will warmly welcome you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel in a comfortable private vehicle. After check-in and a short rest, you will prepare for your first exploration of this culturally rich city.

In the afternoon, you will visit the historic Kathmandu Durbar Square, once the royal palace of the Malla kings. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is a living museum of ancient art, architecture, and culture. As you walk through the square, you will see intricately carved wooden temples, courtyards, and monuments that date back centuries. A highlight of this visit is the Kumari Ghar, the residence of the Living Goddess Kumari, where you may catch a rare glimpse of this revered figure. The square reflects the richness of traditional Newari craftsmanship and religious harmony.

Later, you will head to the hilltop stupa of Swayambhunath (approx. 1,500 m), one of the oldest and most sacred Buddhist sites in Nepal. After breakfast, your day begins with a visit to the sacred Pashupatinath Temple (approx. 1,300 m), one of the most important Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Situated on the banks of the Bagmati River, this temple complex is a deeply spiritual place where life and death rituals coexist. You will witness Hindu cremation ceremonies along the riverbanks, as well as sadhus (holy men) and devotees performing religious rituals. Next, you will visit the magnificent Boudhanath Stupa (approx. 1,350 m), one of the largest spherical stupas in the world and a major center of Tibetan Buddhism. In the afternoon, you will travel to the ancient city of Lalitpur to explore Patan Durbar Square (approx. 1,350 m), renowned for its exquisite art and architecture. This UNESCO site is famous for its beautifully crafted temples, statues, and courtyards. Key attractions include the Krishna Temple, built entirely of stone, the Golden Temple (Hiranya Varna Mahavihar), and the Patan Museum, which houses rare artifacts and traditional artworks. The area is also known for its skilled artisans, and you will have the opportunity to explore local handicraft shops.

In the evening, you may relax at a café or enjoy a rooftop dining experience overlooking the city, reflecting on the cultural richness of the day.

On your final day, you will visit the beautifully preserved medieval city of Bhaktapur Durbar Square (approx. 1,400 m), often considered the cultural gem of Nepal. Walking through its brick-paved streets feels like stepping back in time. The square is home to the impressive Nyatapola Temple, a five-story pagoda and one of the tallest temples in Nepal, as well as the historic 55-Window Palace. You will also visit Pottery Square, where local artisans continue the traditional craft of pottery making.

For those interested in deeper history, an optional visit to Changunarayan Temple (approx. 1,550 m) can be arranged. This is the oldest temple in Nepal, dating back to the 4th century, and is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The temple complex is rich in ancient stone inscriptions and intricate carvings, offering valuable insight into early Nepalese art and history.
